Concepto . La Carrera de la Procuraduría General de la Nación y de la Defensoría del Pueblo es un sistema técnico de administración de personal que tiene por objeto garantizar la eficiencia de estas entidades y ofrecer a todos los ciudadanos igualdad de oportunidad para el acceso a ellas, la capacitación, la estabilidad en sus empleos y la posibilidad de ascender en la Carrera, como también establecer la forma de retiro de la misma.
