Art. 25. La misión Cuerpo de Serenos es velar por la seguridad de los intereses de los habitantes de la ciudad con el mismo cuidado y celo con que lo hicieran aquellos por cuyos derechos vela. Por tanto, este Cuerpo no desempeñará funciones del de policía que pudieran distraerle de la vigilancia, pero serán apoyados y auxiliados oportuna y eficazmente entre si, en todos los casos en que solicite su auxilio uno de otro.
