Consulta previa. En caso de que la ejecución de las actividades de excavación e intervención de carácter paleontológico requiera surtir el procedimiento de consulta previa, el titular de la autorización será el único responsable de adelantarla de conformidad con los lineamientos y directrices establecidos por el Ministerio del Interior. El cumplimiento de dicho requisito es obligatorio, previo al inicio de la ejecución de las actividades del proyecto, y deberá ser reportado al Servicio Geológico Colombiano.
