Del Sistema Nacional de Investigación Ambiental. Es el conjunto de orientaciones, normas, actividades, recursos, programas, instancias e instituciones públicas, privadas o mixtas, grupos o personas, que realizan actividades de investigación científica y desarrollo tecnológico en el campo ambiental, a que hace referencia el numeral 6 del artículo 41 de la Ley 99 de 1993 y que, por consiguiente, constituye un subsistema del SINA.
