Art. 8° La suspensión que deba decretarse en el procedimiento criminal de que habla esta lei, se verificará por la autoridad civil que fuere competente para conocer en primera instancia, dando parte de ella al funcionario o superior eclesiástico respectivo, para los efectos de la lei de 25 de abril de 1845, que queda en su fuerza de vigor.
