La inspección ocular tiene por objeto el examen y reconocimiento que, para juzgar con más acierto, hace el Juez, acompañado de peritos o testigos, de cosas o hechos litigiosos o relacionados con el debate.

Este medio probatorio se ordena a solicitud oportuna de las partes, o de oficio para mejor proveer.
