º PERIODO Y EJERCICIO FISCAL. El año o período fiscal de las intendencias y comisarías comienza el primero (1º) de abril y termina el treinta y uno (31) de marzo del año siguiente, lapso durante el cual puede afectarse el presupuesto. El ejercicio fiscal se prolongará hasta el treinta y uno (31) de mayo, con el objeto de consolidar los registros contables y cerrar la cuenta general del presupuesto y del Tesoro.
