Ley 5 de 1992 · Por la cual se expide el Reglamento del Congreso, el Senado y la Cámara de Representantes

Del Presidente de la República. Podrá el Presidente de la República presentar renuncia a su cargo, por medio de comunicación escrita dirigida al Presidente del Senado.

En tal circunstancia será el Senado convocado a sesión plenaria dentro de los tres (3) días siguientes, para decidir sobre la dimisión. La renuncia podrá ser reiterada.

El Senado comunicará al Vicepresidente de la República la decisión final adoptada por el pleno. En su ausencia, se indicará al Ministro o/a quien corresponda, según el orden de precedencia legal.

Parágrafo TRANSITORIO

Hasta el 6 de agosto de 1994 tal comunicación deberá surtirse al Designado a la Presidencia.
