Tarjeta de registro . Las Direcciones Territoriales del Ministerio de Transporte expedirán al propietario del vehículo, la tarjeta de registro de transporte de carga de carácter indefinido a cada vehículo inscrito, la cual lo identificará. El conductor deberá portar permanentemente el original. Todo propietario de vehículo de carga deberá solicitar una nueva tarjeta de registro de transporte de carga en los siguientes eventos

1.

Pérdida, deterioro o hurto de la tarjeta.

2.

Cambio de la propiedad del vehículo.

3.

Cambio de características del vehículo.

Parágrafo

El propietario de vehículo de carga deberá informar mediante escrito dirigido a la Dirección Territorial del Ministerio de Transporte donde tenga su domicilio principal, los casos de hurto o destrucción del vehículo, para registrar dichas novedades, anexando la respectiva denuncia.
