Si el plazo estipulado para el pago total de la obligación a que se refiere el anterior artículo fuere inferior a 30 años, el interés a cargo del campesino se disminuirá a razón de ½% por cada cinco años en que se acorte el plazo, sin que dicho interés pueda llegar a ser inferior al 1% anual. En tales casos, la ayuda del Estado se aumentará hasta cubrir la diferencia de intereses en los términos del artículo anterior.
