Las autoridades departamentales y municipales podrán contribuir para la adquisición de equipos, dotaciones, mejoramiento de instalaciones, vivienda fiscal, apoyo logístico y de bienestar de la Policía Nacional. También podrán celebrar convenios con la Nación para mejorar la seguridad pública sin perjuicio de las obligaciones que correspondan a aquella.

Ley 62 de 1993 · “Por la cual se expiden normas sobre la Policía Nacional, se crea un establecimiento público de seguridad social y bienestar para la Policía Nacional, se crea la Superintendencia de Vigilancia y Seguridad Privada y se reviste de facultades extraordinarias al Presidente de la República”.
