El que mediante el empleo de violencia física o moral, o de maniobras engañosas de cualquier género, impida a un elector ejercer su derecho de sufragio, o lo obligue a ejercerlo en favor de determinado candidato, partido o corriente política, incurrirá en arresto de dos meses a un año y en multa de cincuenta a mil pesos.
