La Empresa Colombiana de Petróleos, podrá en cualquier tiempo devolver todo o parte del área que haya sido objeto de aporte, y tal área quedará a disposición del Gobierno para ser contratada de conformidad con las disposiciones del Código de Petróleos y leyes que lo adicionan o reforman.
