De conformidad con lo dispuesto en el artículo 16 de la Ley 434 de 1998 la Alta Consejería Presidencial para la Paz del Departamento Administrativo de la Presidencia de la República, se denominará Oficina del Alto Comisionado para la Paz. El Alto Comisionado para la Paz desempeñará además de las funciones señaladas en el artículo 10 de la mencionada ley, las que establece el artículo 1° del Decreto 2107 de 1994 y las que le asigne el Presidente de la República.
