La tarjeta de operación es el documento que habilita a los vehículos automotores para prestar el servicio público de transporte bajo la responsabilidad de una empresa de transporte, de acuerdo con su respectiva licencia de funcionamiento en los servicios, áreas de operación, rutas y horarios o frecuencias de despachos que tengan asignados.
