Todo vehículo automotor, registrado y autorizado para, circular por el territorio nacional, incluyendo la maquinaria capaz de desplazarse, deberá ser inscrito por parte de la autoridad competente en el Registro Nacional Automotor que llevará el Ministerio de Transporte. También deberán inscribirse los remolques y semi-remolques. Todo vehículo automotor registrado y autorizado deberá presentar el certificado vigente de la revisión técnico - mecánica, que cumpla con los términos previstos en este código.
