El Poder Ejecutivo nombrará cada dos años una Junta honoraria de tres miembros es cada uno de los Departamentos, los Gobernadores otra, honoraria también, en cada una de las Provincias de su jurisdicción, encargadas de estimular el progreso dé las investigaciones estadísticas. Las Juntas departamentales serán presididas por el Gobernador, y en ellas tendrán voz y voto el Director departamental de Estadística; y las provinciales serán presididas por el Prefecto ó Alcalde provincial.
