Se entiende por río navegable, para los efectos de esta Ley, todo trayecto fluvial no menor de quince kilómetros que de manera efectiva y en ambos sentidos sirva o pueda servir habitualmente de vía de comunicación con embarcaciones de tracción mecánica.
