A partir del 1º de enero de 1936 en las capitales de los Departamentos y de las Intendencias y Comisarías funcionará una oficina de estadística costeada por tales entidades. Estas oficinas actuarán bajo la dirección técnica de la Contraloría General, o de un representante de esta.
