° Los notarios serán nombrados para período de cinco (5) años, así: Los de primera categoría por el Gobierno Nacional; los demás, por los Gobernadores, Intendentes y Comisarios respectivos. La comprobación de que se reúnen los requisitos exigidos para el cargo se surtirá ante la autoridad que hizo el respectivo nombramiento, la cual lo confirmará una vez acreditados.
