El servicio de radioaficionados es un servicio de radiocomunicaciones que tiene por objeto la instrucción individual, la intercomunicación y los estudios técnicos efectuados por aficionados debidamente actualizados que se interesan en la radioexperimentación con fines exclusivamente personales y sin ánimo de lucro.
