Sistema Nacional de Información Botánica . Habrá un Sistema Nacional de Información Botánica, que funcionará bajo la responsabilidad del Instituto de Investigaciones de Recursos Biológicos "Alexander Von Humboldt" y en el cual se llevará el registro de las colecciones de plantas vivas de los jardines botánicos y de los bancos de germoplasma, y de plantas secas de los herbarios que operen en Colombia.

Estas entidades aportarán a este Instituto, previo convenio, la información de sus inventarios floristicos.

El Sistema Nacional de Información Botánica formará parte del Sistema de Información Ambiental.
