Para los efectos de esta Ley y de los señalados en los negocios en el Código de Petróleos y demás disposiciones que lo adicionan y reforman, se entiende por cima de la Cordillera Oriental la línea de puntos más altos de la citada cadena de montañas, con rumbo general Nordeste, que va desde el sur del país hasta el ramal que termina en el punto de Tamá.
