Los Consejos Municipales de Desarrollo Rural crearán una Comisión Municipal de Tecnología y Asistencia Técnica Agropecuaria, para orientar y vigilar el funcionamiento de la UMATA. En esta comisión deberán tener representación mayoritaria los usuarios campesinos. Los gremios de profesionales del agro que tengan presencia en el municipio respectivo deberán estar incluidos.
