En los procesos penales por delitos en los cuales sea víctima un niño, niña o adolescente, el defensor de familia podrá solicitar información sobre el desarrollo de la investigación, para efectos de tomar las medidas de verificación de la garantía de derechos y restablecimiento pertinentes.
