La presente ley tiene por objeto exaltar al municipio de Sáchica, ubicado en el departamento de Boyacá, como territorio de conservación, investigación y divulgación del Patrimonio • Geológico, Paleontológico y Arqueológico de la Nación, teniendo en cuenta su importancia prehistórica e histórica, con el fin de coordinar la promoción, protección y fomento de la investigación frente a los hallazgos encontrados en el municipio.
