Art. 5º Los Lazaretos que se organicen de acuerdo con el Decreto número 14 de 1905 (26 de Enero), ratificado por la presente Ley, quedan libres del curso forzoso del papel-moneda, y en su lugar circularán signos metálicos que el Gobierne (sic) mandará acuñar para los Lazaretos. Administrativamente se dispondrá la manera como se hará la circulación metálica en ellos.
