Registrada una propuesta en la Secretaría General del Ministerio de Minas y Petróleos, se pasará para su estudio a las Secciones de Servicio Geológico, Técnico y Legal, en su orden, para que dentro del término que señale el Ministro, rindan los correspondientes informes. Si de éstos aparece que la propuesta llena los requisitos legales, el Ministerio, dentro de los ocho (8) días hábiles siguientes, dictará la resolución por la cual se declare aceptada la propuesta, y ordenará que dicha resolución se notifique al interesado. Si por el contrario, apareciere que la propuesta no reúne tales requisitos, y las diferencias no fueren subsanables ni corregibles las irregularidades que adolezca, el Ministerio, dentro del mismo término rechazará la propuesta. Pero si a juicio del Ministerio, las diferencias fueren subsanables o las irregularidades corregibles, se señalará un término al proponente para que las subsane o corrija.
