º. Objeto y campo de aplicación. El Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud es el conjunto de entidades públicas y privadas, normas y procedimientos, destinado a garantizar a toda la población el servicio público esencial de salud, de conformidad con lo establecido en el Decreto-ley 1298 de 1994, en el presente Decreto y en las demás normas que lo modifiquen, reglamenten o adicionen.
