En la Universidad de Antioquia, entidad donde curso estudios profesionales, fue catedrático y Rector, se le erigirá un busto al doctor Gonzalo Restrepo Jaramillo, en el sitio en que designe el Consejo Superior Universitario. En la parte inferior se colocará una placa con la siguiente leyenda "El Congreso de Colombia a Gonzalo Restrepo Jaramillo".
