- COMPETENCIA DE LOS PERSONEROS MUNICIPALES. Los personeros municipales cumplirán las funciones del Ministerio Público en los asuntos de competencia de los juzgados penales y promiscuos municipales y de los fiscales delegados ante los jueces del circuito, municipales y promiscuos, sin perjuicio de que las mismas sean asumidas directamente por funcionarios de la Procuraduría General de la Nación (Ley 81 de 1993, art. 21).
