Ley 528 de 1999 · por la cual se reglamenta el ejercicio de la profesión de fisioterapia, se dictan normas en materia de ética profesional y otras disposiciones

Cuando se trate de consultantes primarios o directos que requieran tratamiento de fisioterapia, el profesional hará la evaluación y diagnóstico fisioterapéutico correspondiente, para iniciar el tratamiento consiguiente. Si se advirtieran otras necesidades diagnósticas o terapéuticas, que son de su competencia, el fisioterapeuta deberá referir al usuario a un médico o a otro profesional competente.

Parágrafo

En la nota de referencia del usuario al profesional competente, deberá indicarse el diagnóstico fisioterapéutico y el tratamiento prescrito.
