ARTICULO 2º . NATURALEZA DEL SERVICIO PENITENCIARIO Y CARCELARIO NACIONAL. La naturaleza del servicio penitenciario y carcelario es preventiva, educativa y social para los reclusos y de apoyo a las autoridades penitenciarias y carcelarias para el cometido de sus fines.
