El objeto de estas Granjas Escuelas es el de dar educación al campesino colombiano, y prepararlo en las labores agrícolas que deben desempeñar. En consecuencia, tendrán cursos de tractoristas, estableros, vacunación de ganados, manejo de semovientes, cría de especies menores, mayordomos, administradores de haciendas, etc., y tendrán - de acuerdo con el curso- una duración mínima de un año, y máxima de tres.
