Vigencia y permanencia del mecanismo de amparo . El mecanismo de amparo constituido por el constructor o el enajenador de vivienda nueva deberá cubrir eventos ocurridos dentro de los diez (10) años siguientes a la fecha de expedición del respectivo Certificado Técnico de Ocupación. El mecanismo de amparo presentado por el constructor o el enajenador de vivienda nueva se hará efectivo por parte del propietario inicial o los sucesivos propietarios, que se vean afectados por el estado de ruina o amenaza de ruina de la edificación durante el término de cobertura.
