La presente ley se rige por los principios de dignidad humana, respeto, autonomía individual, independencia, igualdad, equidad, Justicia, inclusión, progresividad en la financiación, equiparación de oportunidades, protección, no discriminación, solidaridad, pluralismo, accesibilidad, diversidad, respeto, aceptación de las diferencias y participación de las personas con discapacidad, en concordancia con Ley 1346 de 2009 .
