En los Centros de Atención del Instituto, las Juntas Médico-Quirúrgicas serán nombradas por el Director del Centro, con el visto bueno del Subgerente de Servicios de Salud en las Seccionales A o del Jefe de la División de Servicios de Salud en las Seccionales B. En las Unidades Programáticas de Naturaleza Especial, en donde sean necesarias las Juntas Médico-Quirúrgicas, serán nombradas por el Jefe del Departamento de Salud.
