El que suprima o altere el estado civil de una persona, o haga inscribir en el registro civil a una persona que no es su hijo o que no existe, incurrirá en prisión de dieciséis (16) a noventa (90) meses.

NOTA : penas aumentadas por el artículo 14 de la ley 890 de 2004 (vigencia a partir del 1° de enero de 2005)
