Competencia para ordenar elaboración de informativos. En caso de lesiones o fallecimiento de un Oficial o Suboficial en servicio activo, los Comandantes de Departamento de policía, Directores de Escuelas, Comandantes de Unidades Especiales y la Inspección General en los demás casos, dentro de la veinticuatro (24. horas siguientes a la ocurrencia del hecho, ordenarán levantar un informativo de carácter administrativo para prestaciones sociales en orden de determinar las circunstancias de modo, tiempo y lugar en que ocurrió el hecho.
