Siempre que el Gobierno de acuerdo con el artículo 31 de la Ley 37 de 1931, exija en especie toda la regalía correspondiente a un período determinado, o parte de ella, se entiende desde luego que el interesado debe cumplir la obligación de almacenar el petróleo, de acuerdo con el artículo 10 de la misma Ley. Si el Gobierno necesita la entrega del petróleo al vencimiento del trimestre respectivo y debe recibirlo inmediatamente sin que el explotador tenga necesidad de mantenerlo almacenado, lo hará saber así al dicho explotador al menos con quince (15) días de anticipación.
