Art. 16°. Los Notarios no autorizarán escrituras ni protocolizarán documentos sin que se compruebe haber pagado el derecho de registro respectivo, y en las copias que expidan insertarán la boleta compruebe el pago. Los Registradores de instrumentos públicos no harán en sus libros las inscripciones de documentos privados sin que se compruebe haberse pagado el derecho de registro que hayan causado.
