Son Fondos Ganaderos las sociedades de economía mixta constituidas o que llegaren a constituirse con aportes de la nación, las entidades territoriales o las entidades descentralizadas de cualquier orden y de capital privado.

Parágrafo

Los Fondos Ganaderos podrán ser Sociedades Anónimas de Economía privada siempre y cuando se ajusten a las políticas establecidas por el Ministerio de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural en materia de fomento ganadero, de acuerdo con lo previsto en esta Ley.
