La Ley 906 de 2004 tendrá un nuevo artículo 558, así:
Artículo 558. Solicitud de medida de aseguramiento. Cuando la acción penal sea ejercida por el acusador privado, este podrá acudir directamente ante el juez de control de garantías para solicitar la medida de aseguramiento privativa o no privativa de la libertad.
