Facultades policivas de las autoridades ambientales. De conformidad con el artículo 305 del Decreto-ley 2811 de 1974 a la Autoridad Ambiental competente, en virtud de sus facultades policivas, corresponde velar por el cumplimiento de las disposiciones del Código Nacional de los Recursos Naturales Renovables y de Protección al Medio Ambiente, y de las demás normas legales sobre la materia. Igualmente hará uso de los demás medios de Policía necesarios para la vigilancia y defensa de los recursos naturales renovables y del ambiente y determinará cuáles de sus funcionarios tienen facultades policivas.
