El Comité de Coordinación se reunirá ordinariamente una vez por mes, con el propósito de revisar los diferentes temas que sobre transporte marítimo se presenten, verificar el seguimiento de los informes a que se refiere el Decreto 3111 de 1997 y las normas que lo modifiquen o adicionen, estudiar y conceptuar sobre consultas o derechos de petición que presenten los usuarios. Extraordinariamente, cuando los cite el Ministro de Transporte o cuando lo solicite el Director General Marítimo.
