Si al tiempo de que el Gran Consejo Electoral hiciere el escrutinio de los votos para Presidente de la Republica, hubiere fallecido el ciudadano que haya obtenido la mayoría, la persona que este encargada del Poder Ejecutivo convocara inmediatamente a nuevas elecciones, las que se verificaran dentro de los sesenta días siguientes al escrutinio.
