- DESLINDE Y AMOJONAMIENTO. Previo acuerdo para cada caso concreto entre los Ministerios de Gobierno y de Hacienda y Crédito Público, se procederá a deslindar y amojonar los Municipios de la República. El Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi queda encargado de llevar a efecto el deslinde y amojonamiento a que haya lugar. Con este fin reunirá toda la documentación que exista hasta la fecha en los archivos de las diferentes entidades oficiales sobre esta materia: leyes, ordenanzas, planos, etc (Decr. 1333 de 1986, art. 20).
