º. La Nación se asocia al IV Centenario de la fundación de la ciudad de Ocaña, efemérides que se cumple el 14 de diciembre de 1970. Con motivo de esta fecha histórica se honra la memoria de su ilustre fundador don Francisco Fernández de Contreras, y de los eminentes varones nacidos dentro de su territorio, quienes ofrecieron sus vidas por la libertad de la patria en la época de la independencia y durante la era de la República sirvieron posiciones importantes del Estado.
