En dicho monumento se colocó la placa acordada en la conferencia Internacional Panamericana reunida en Méjico A los Exploradores Néstor y Enrique Reyes , mártires de la civilización de América ; y otra inscripción que diga : La República de Colombia á sus hijos beneméritos los Hermanos Reyes- Asamblea Nacional Constituyente y Legislativa de 1907 .
