Para que se conceda el auxilio de que trata el artículo anterior, los aspirantes deberán comprobar, con las formalidades que el Gobierno exija, los servicios militares prestados por su causa y el grado militar que tuvieran en el Ejercito en que fueron prestados dichos servicios.
